Guia is a typeface for pedestrian guidance designed as my final project at type]media master at the KABK in Den Haag.
Typefaces for wayfinding are usually very rational sans serifs. Guia goes in the opposite direction: It is a sans serif with strong calligraphic features, based on the broad nib pen; without disregarding readability or space economy. It comes in five styles that differ in weight and width: Regular, Bold, Condensed, Bold Condensed and Extra Condensed.
